This is the start of a series on books to read to improve your life.
We’re starting with my top 5 of all time.
5 – The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss
Life Hacking. This guy knows it and lives it. He finds ways to improve his life at every turn. He’s got such great advice. Hack life to get the most out of it!
4 – The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
Basics. Boil it down. If you’re looking for the most bang for your minutes reading, it’s here. Short book packed with powerful advice. It doesn’t get more clean cut than this. Devour this book in a weekend. Then put the agreements to practice. Focus on one per week. You’ll be a new person a month from now.
3 – How to Break the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza
I’ve been broken down multiple times (to be lifted up by the same instrument – person, book, music, film, etc), but no other tangible device gives a better playbook to build a new version of yourself => the best version of yourself. This book could change the world too. If only people would read it.
2 – Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Maybe the tips to make money won’t work, but the advice of mentality, persistence and being in the right circles (with the positive, uplifting, motivated individuals) are timeless.
1 – How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
A classic in self-development. If everyone read this book, we might be able to end most, if not all, wars. We’d have people lifting each other up instead of launching verbal attacks from a defensive position.
If you only read 5 books after the end of your “formal” education, I strongly believe these 5 would best equip you for an amazing life.
Subscribe to my newsletter and you’ll get a digital copy of my ebook, “How to Lose Friends and Irritate People.” It’s a comedic spoof of the number one book on this list.
You can also read my first ebook, “A More Perfect Nation” from Amazon.
It doesn’t belong on this list, but it’s like a modern, positive version of “1984” (one of the best fiction books of all-time). So if you like positive books about the future, it’s probably a great choice for you!
