This is the first installment of a new series of posts on quick health fixes to greatly improve your life. I’ll start simple and get more complex. This’ll help you feel better and in some cases, save money.
Each installment will include one diet and one movement fix. For more tips: hire me as your health coach!
Diet Fix:
Replace your lunch out (or any fast food meal) with Quest Bar and a Bai5 drink. It’s $4 for that package deal and infinitely healthier than your $6 meal deal at McDonalds or $10-12 Chinese takeout.
Save $2/day (weekdays) = $10/week = $40/month = Gym membership
Movement Fix:
When watching television, do bodyweight exercises during commercials. Watching on Netflix? Exercise between each episode.
Pushups and squats are excellent choices.
Goal: 25 pushups and/or 50 squats during each break (alternate if not doing both).
If you watch 2 hours of TV, you should hit 50 pushups and 100 squats, minimum, per day. Easy boost to your exercise numbers.
Keep track of your diet and exercise on MyFitnessPal to get an understanding of the numbers (calories in/out, macronutrient breakdowns, etc).
